Glowing Knitting

I finally got my hands on some glow in the dark yarn, so I made a few samples to see how it knits. I found it quite annoying to knit with at first, the yarn is spun really loosely and it was easy to catch the fibres. Knitting it with another yarn seemed to me to be a far better way of using it. Not only did it make it far easier to knit with but also it stop the glow from being overwhelming in the dark as it offset.

One of the things I was concerned about was working with colours that will go well with the white of the yarn in the light and green glow in the dark, because of this I started with greens and blues.

Taking all this into consideration I think it maybe a good idea to look at more natural forms for my inspiration for this work, possibly with a slight science edge but we shall see.

I do also realise that I haven't go any images of these samples in the dark but I have yet to get any good photos of them glowing, though they are on their way.
